The Junge Union (JU) Schwaben has honored the company ETL Elektrotechnik Lauter from Mauerstetten with the Anton Jaumann Trophy. In his laudatory speech, Klaus Jasper, chairman of the jury, said that ETL is an example of an innovative, medium-sized company that opened up opportunities for the region and created jobs. The award ceremony took place in the rooms of the winner from the year 2016, the company Baufritz in Erkheim.
Many reasons have spoken for the company from Mauerstetten, according to the jury chairman. This entrepreneurial courage and merit for the district of Ostallgäu cannot be overstated, he said. The CSU member of parliament and former Bavarian Minister of Economics, Franz Pschierer, underlined in his speech the importance of promoting research and development as well as the targeted training and further education of young professionals. Since its founding in 1979, ETL has continuously develope in several segments as in the area of innovative service spectrum, sustainability and the further development of employees and trainees. Around 170 employees are currently working at the Mauerstetten site. The assemblies, which are produced in the company, find their customers above all in industry, medicine, food processing, sensor technology, but also in many other areas.
The prize is awarded in honor of the Bavarian Minister of Economic Anton Jaumann, who died in 1994. It is intended to honor medium-sized companies that secure new jobs, especially for young people, and offer growth potential to an entire region. The award ceremony is to be repeated every two years.
